Shruti Merchant is an acclaimed choreographer who is well known to us as younger sister of Vaibhavi Merchant. She has choreographed Kajra re in Bunty Aur Babli and Kudiya nu thug le in Ladies vs Ricky Behl. Now the young lady soon be seen as one of the judge in fourth season of Dance India Dance.

Shruti Merchant Biography

Shruti is one of the new comer and has set her sights in Bollywood. She is the granddaughter of pioneering choreographer B. Hiralal. She has a elder sister Vaibhavi Merchant who is a well-known Bollywood dance choreographer. Shruti has a great passion towards dance as she was born into family of choreographers. She has a commendable prowess over Indian dance forms and also trained in Bharatnatyam and Kathak. For the past five years she has toured countries like the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, U.K, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Netherlands, Romania, South Africa, China, Singapore and Thailand with the theatrical musical "The Merchants of Bollywood".

Career
Shruti has started her career by assisting her sister Vaibhavi in choreographing films like Dhoom 1, 2 and 3, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Aaja Nach Le, Kal Ho Na Ho and Devdas amongst others. She has debuted by choreographing Thug Le song for movie Ladies Vs. Ricky Behl and won the Best choreographer Award for this song. Producing and directing India's first ever international theatrical musical production - 'Taj Express', Shruti comes with immense knowledge of training dancers.

As DID is coming again with its fourth season there has been much speculation about what's new on DID. Audiences across the country have waited eagerly to find mentors to judge Season 4. Geeta Kapur, Remo D'souza and Terence Lewis have been part of the DID family since first season. Now it is being heard that Vaibhavi Merchant's sister Shruti Merchant is judging the latest season of the dance reality show Dance India Dance 4 on Zee TV.
