Kapil Sharma is an Indian stand-up comedian, Actor, TV anchor and singer. He had made his place in the Forbes India Celebrity list for the first time in 2013 by securing 93rd rank but has moved way up to 33rd place in the year 2014.[1][2] He has also been declared the CNN-IBN Indian of the Year 2013, in the Entertainment category.[3] Currently he is hosting an Indian comedy show "Comedy Nights with Kapil".[4]Contents

Early life and background
Sharma was born in Amritsar, Punjab, India, His father was a head constable in the police department and his mother Janak Rani is a Housewife.[5] Sharma started working at a local PCO. He studied at Hindu college in Amritsar.[6]
